[first of all, there are several inconsequential doodles. This should be concerning because Nephry just doesn't doodle. Next there are several sentences that are so well crossed out they are unreadable. An ink spot where the pen rested too long on the page. A few more doodles.]

I...think I should go for a walk. I will take my journal with me just in case, however.

[and for those out and about, Nephry can be found standing on the bridge between houses 32 and 33 and Community Housing 5. It is quite the long walk, and it will continue in a short while if she's not interrupted. She will answer written or voiced messages too, of course. ...The doodling is kind of a giveaway that something is wrong here]

[Well since Nephry is in the area, Alexei won't be too far from where she is. As he reaches the bridge, he sees her, recognizing her as the one who helped him before...I'm going to assume it's nighttime now, right?]

Hm? [she seems more than a little surprised. Lost in thought as she was, she didn't even hear him coming]

[Minato decided to cut through the woods on his way back from the square today, and happens to end up crossing this bridge. ...Nephry standing there is an unusual sight.]

[she looks up quickly, startled out of her thoughts. Thankfully it's dark enough that he shouldn't be able to see her eyes that well...or how strange they look at the moment]

Oh! Minato. ...I'm sorry, I must have been...preoccupied. Have you been standing there long?

[He shakes his head, then walks closer to stand a few feet from her. He pauses, as if considering, then speaks up.]

...Yen for your thoughts?

[she turns to look down at the water again]

My thoughts are wandering about as freely as this river. I'm not sure they're worth even that.

[Peony's on his way back from patrolling the perimeters for New Feathers. He stops walking when he sees Nephry. It takes a few moments before he makes his way to her side. He doesn't speak.]

He darn well better have. Dare he risk falling even lower?

[well. Neither is she. In fact she probably doesn't notice him, she's so caught up in trying to sort things out for herself. She's leaning on the bridge rail, her hands in front of her over the water; they're trembling]

Can he even sink any lower?

He takes one of her hands.]

Oh yes. She has yet to be openly angry with him. She could always YELL.

[that train of thought just derailed right off a cliff. She actually gasps a little when someone reaches for her hand out of nowhere. And when she turns and sees that it's Peony, well...the source of half of her turmoil is holding her hand.]

[Jade happens to be walking behind you, Nephry, carrying a bag. His boots make a fairly loud clomping sound on the wooden bridge.]

[her tumult of thoughts is keeping her completely occupied. She doesn't even register his passing, or the sound of his feet on the bridge. She shivers just a little, but doesn't seem to notice that either]

[Eventually, the clomping stops. He is now paused in the middle of the bridge, staring at her.]

[sorry, she still won't look at him. But she is not in the middle of the bridge, so he will be able to see the side of her face, and how her hand is shaking as she brings it up to rub at one eye quickly. Of course she doesn't know anyone's there]
