silversnowfall: (surprised)
[Right now there are no real reasons for her to say anything, but the journal's open on her desk anyway. You never know, around here. Whatever Nephry's doing this morning, it's quiet work aside from the occasional soft 'hmm' of concentration. So the slam when Dist throws her door open - without even knocking - stands out]

Nephry!

Saphir, what are you-

Put down whatever you're doing, we have to leave now!

[it's like he triggered it with that word. The shaking intensifies to the point where the journal picks up the sounds of cracking and breaking. They do make an attempt for the door, but when the right side of house 1 collapses into the tunnel below, there's no sign of them anywhere nearby]

[[ooc: YAY! Sooo excited for this, and wanted to get my post up for Dist-mun and others before I go die at tennis for hours. <--- replies slow for a while. Also, Nephry is green and Dist is pink, up there, in case you weren't sure :P ]]
silversnowfall: (serious)
Excuse me. For those familiar with Emperor Peony, he is no longer in the village. All of his things are also gone, so I can only assume he went back home.

[it's only written - in her best professional tone and handwriting - because she doesn't trust her voice to say things like this.]
silversnowfall: (into consideration)
I don't suppose anyone is home today to help make lunch?

[Nephry leaves the journal open for the sake of checking on it between cooking steps. Enjoy the sounds of a small but active kitchen for a while. ...Things are a little quiet when she comes back.]

Excuse me. I've had a small accident in the kitchen - could I speak with a healer?

[[ooc: I am posting all of this from my phone while the computer gets repaired, so I will be slow.]]
silversnowfall: (studying box)
If you were not here right now, what would you be doing instead?

Regal )
silversnowfall: (is that so)
[the weather has been mild for a few days now, giving the ground a chance to dry up. This morning, Nephry thought this seemed like the perfect day to spend outdoors - it's not too warm yet in this village, and she has no real obligations here - and she even packed a picnic lunch to that effect. However, anyone who sees her headed off to enjoy that lunch will probably catch her in the act of a stumble or two, or even a shaky move to the nearest bench or equivalent place to just sit down.]

[[ooc: I know I failed at the clinic meeting post thing. School is getting kind of heavy for me right now but something will happen, promise.]]

First Luke, then Jade, and now Saphir...it's disconcerting, to say the least.

I apologize for my delay in helping to arrange the meeting we've been discussing. I have no excuses, and my only explanation is that I was quite distracted.

That said, would this coming Friday work for everyone?

[[ooc: Just to clarify, that's an IC check for availability, and this concerns anyone involved in the discussion about the clinic/how to expand it/make it generally more efficient. It doesn't actually matter whether you are OOC available on Friday, no worries~]]
silversnowfall: (oh really?)
If I may have your attention.

Now that the latest experiment is behind us, and with the current situation only as always temporary at best - with a likely turn for the worse in the very near future - there are a few things that require serious consideration.

Not an IC cut at all )

[[ooc: Written first and then read aloud to cover all her bases. The stricken words were not read; if you read all of that you get thirty points and a cookie. I am out of metaphorical breath but Nephry's just getting started]]
silversnowfall: (is that so)
There may be people stranded in their houses by the buildup of snow. As this was very likely not the end of the snowfall, shorter winters or not, it would be beneficial to all of us to organize a group that can take over clearing the paths through the village and to the doors of houses and apartment buildings. This isn't a task one person should attempt alone, even using artes or this world's magic. There's just too much snow for that.

Please be aware of new arrivals, also, and the unstable conditions of the snow outside the village, particularly in the mountains.

[and she doesn't know how to phrase it, but she'd like to hear from her friends. The ones that weren't in the house with her, anyway]

I hope the rest of you remained safe and enjoyed yourselves during the party.

[those in House 1, whether residents or visiting for some reason, will find Nephry in Anise's room, keeping an eye on her]

silversnowfall: (depressed)
[first of all, there are several inconsequential doodles. This should be concerning because Nephry just doesn't doodle. Next there are several sentences that are so well crossed out they are unreadable. An ink spot where the pen rested too long on the page. A few more doodles.]

I...think I should go for a walk. I will take my journal with me just in case, however.

[and for those out and about, Nephry can be found standing on the bridge between houses 32 and 33 and Community Housing 5. It is quite the long walk, and it will continue in a short while if she's not interrupted. She will answer written or voiced messages too, of course. ...The doodling is kind of a giveaway that something is wrong here]

silversnowfall: (Default)
Excuse me.

I realize that the healers here are already overworked and doing all they can. It's a lot for anyone to handle. ...However, if any of you have the time and energy to spare, please stop by House 1. It isn't urgent. Don't feel the need to rush.

Thank you.
silversnowfall: (surprised)
[at first the journal picks up just breathing, and silence. And then, a loud, desperate scream, and several soft thuds of disorientation. It's quiet again for a while, then she decides to write something, not trusting her voice to stay steady]

I believe I feel well enough to leave the clinic.

[[ooc: And she actually means it. She doesn't yet have the stubborn streak so common among playable characters the people she knows. And please do notice the scream~]]

silversnowfall: (sigh)
[it's safe to say Nephry has been unconscious for most of the past few days. For the first time now she's really awake and aware, at least enough to speak, and her nearby journal will pick it up]

Where am I?

silversnowfall: (depressed)
[a lone, slow-moving figure makes her way toward the village. She doesn't know that's where she's going. Just walking is taking up all of her concentration and effort. When she finally does sink to the ground, gasping for breath, she forces herself to open the book she's carrying]

Is anyone...

[[ooc: A day late, but Nephry is back!]]

silversnowfall: (surprised)
This situation is worse and worse. I find it hard to believe how accustomed the people here are to things like this, and the lack of motivation for taking some sort of action is...unsettling. It's almost as if--

[the curvy fonics are a sudden dark ink line, and Nephry does not return to finish her sentence]

[[ooc: ...Bandwagon much? Actually, I have a lot to do before Easter Break so I need less distraction. Plus Jade needs to go nuts. Nephry will be back Tuesday-ish!]]

silversnowfall: (thoughtful)
If time stops, then I have no need to worry about what is going on in Keterburg in my absence.

I can hardly place bets on that possibility.

[there is the start of more writing, illegible even in fonics, then a neat line through it. The next part is spoken:]

It's certainly warm in this village now.

[[ooc: Hard to tell from this, but Luceti is way different from snow-covered Keterburg, and Nephry has caught a bug. Yes, sick. She will do her utmost to hide it and be competent anyway]]

silversnowfall: (Default)
It's been a few days since I arrived here. I think I should introduce myself properly. My name is Nephry Osborne. Before coming here, I was I am currently the governor of Keterburg, in Auldrant. ...I would like to speak with whoever serves in the position of mayor of this village.

I believe I finally have some questions to ask, as well. Many of you already volunteered to answer them, which was very kind of you. I want to thank those of you who have already helped me become accustomed to life here. ...However different of a life it may be.

[[ooc: Politicians write so formally, my goodness. The strike is neatly stricken, readable]]
