It's been a few days since I arrived here. I think I should introduce myself properly. My name is Nephry Osborne. Before coming here, I was I am currently the governor of Keterburg, in Auldrant. ...I would like to speak with whoever serves in the position of mayor of this village.

I believe I finally have some questions to ask, as well. Many of you already volunteered to answer them, which was very kind of you. I want to thank those of you who have already helped me become accustomed to life here. ...However different of a life it may be.

A governor... A political figure? As for the mayor of Luceti... I believe the closest to that would be Sir Albert, though he may not acknowledge.

I am hardly the most qualified person, but if you have questions, I am willing to attempt to answer.

Yes, he is a brilliant man, and an excellent strategist.

Ahh, and I am Lord Eliwood of Pherae.

Likewise, Governor Osborne.

I believe there may have been talk of a census being conducted, but I do not know if the results were ever compiled, or if the census was even completed.

It would be best to speak with Lady Raine on that matter.

I'd... likely venture somewhere in the vicinity of two hundred.

[There are no words for the amount of reluctance that welled up in Albert before he decided to reply to this entry.]

I suppose, for lack of any actual governing body in Luceti, you may speak to me, Governess Osborne. My name is Albert Silverberg.

Nephry, then. What can I do for you?

If you have not already read through the 'introductory guide' most New Feathers are shown, I suggest looking at that.

As for the village and its people... At least estimate, we have a population of about 200; it fluctuates as the Malnosso remove people, and again when there is the monthly New Feather cycle. There are four seasons to this world, and some residents take it upon themselves to hold a festival once in awhile to keep things interesting in between experiments.

You have heard of the experiments already, correct?

Most pursue their own hobbies -- crafting, reading, researching, weaponry practice, etc. -- or volunteer their time in different places, such as the school or clinic.

You do not have to apologize for not knowing; it's rather surprising that more people do not ask who the leaders or enforcement are around here. The village is rather lawless in itself, but when there are disruptions throughout, others take notice and get involved.

It really matters on the New Feathers in the cycle. Some become volatile when they first arrive and try to start fights.

How so? [He refrains from mentioning that not much makes sense in Luceti.]

Not everyone approaches arriving in Luceti with a rational mindset. But as I said, some become volatile -- when they first arrive. Most stop after they are stopped the first time.

On March 10th, I will have been here in Luceti for 500 days.

By our calendar here in Luceti, it's well over a year. But yes, it's a decent stretch of time.

Pardon me, but I couldn't help but notice that you said you are from Keterburg... would you happen to know a Professor Gelda Nebilim, by any chance?

Were you one of her students as well?

Not at all, I was merely wondering if you had spoken with her yet, that's all. I am sure she would be thrilled to have another student of hers here.

I see. Then I do hope you get a chance to speak with her soon.
