[first of all, there are several inconsequential doodles. This should be concerning because Nephry just doesn't doodle. Next there are several sentences that are so well crossed out they are unreadable. An ink spot where the pen rested too long on the page. A few more doodles.]

I...think I should go for a walk. I will take my journal with me just in case, however.

[and for those out and about, Nephry can be found standing on the bridge between houses 32 and 33 and Community Housing 5. It is quite the long walk, and it will continue in a short while if she's not interrupted. She will answer written or voiced messages too, of course. ...The doodling is kind of a giveaway that something is wrong here]

[sighs, nods, and turns away from the rail, bringing her journal with her. You should put the groceries away anyway]

[He holds out his arm for her to take.]

[for a few seconds she just sort of looks at it. It is the expected thing to do under the circumstances and, well, also kind of necessary, but it's still a surprise. It's only after she looks at his face instead that she takes the arm]

[He's cruel, not heartless.

After she takes the arm, he ushers her towards the house.]

[this will be a long and silent walk. She's not volunteering any more conversation, and...well, this is the farthest bridge away from House 1. And even with the support the arm holding his is shivering]

As they walk, Jade also says nothing, instead just taking note of her body's actions.]

[with Jade, one always knows one is being observed. Even when one is his sister. As such, she is mustering the last of her energy to...well, seem nothing more than a little tired]

[Yeah, yeah, your act doesn't fool Jade. He'll pretend he is, though.]

Come, Nephry. Let's go inside. [He unlocks the door aaaand it's open.]

[the smiling is so much more unnerving than his usual expression of mischievous boredom. She heads inside and sets her journal down on whatever table is nearest. ...Interesting, in this instance she hasn't managed to sort out anything. But she's so tired...]

...Nephry, you should get some rest. [Seriously, you look terrible, girl.]

...Oh. I...I suppose I should.

[three steps and a pause]

I should also know better than to let myself get like this. Such a lapse won't happen again, Jade.

Good. I can't have you becoming weak on me, Nephry.

[the look she gives him says she knows exactly what would happen to her if he thought she wasn't some kind of asset anymore]

[Jade also knows what he would have to do. Just because she is his sister doesn't mean he can show her mercy.]
