I'm going to be out of the house for a while. I should be back before it gets too late.

[Nephry set out rather early this morning, actually, headed for the small lake. She's spent a good amount of time being sure that what she's doing is safe and isn't going to result in anything unpleasant. After she's sure of all that, and checks to see if anyone's nearby, she leaves the journal on a cleared spot near the edge of the lake and, slowly at first because it's been a while, heads away on a pair of ice skates]

[Peony's presence surprises her, and for a few seconds she looks pretty sad. Then she skates back over to the edge of the lake and gives him a warm smile]

Lovely morning, isn't it?

Taking advantage of the frozen lake, I see.

It seemed as good a day as any.

I'm glad you're enjoying yourself.

If winter is really about the same length as summer here, I felt I ought to do this while I had the chance.

[He didn't bring skates, and he probably doesn't have a pair, so-]

[He walks (carefully) towards a nearby tree and takes a seat underneath it, content to watch Nephry and let his thoughts drift for a while.]

[the usable skating area is small, so she's mostly going in circles]

[He might be dozing off a little.]

[she's in a world of her own, too, and won't notice him falling asleep. She does take a small spill, but is quiet about it and gets right back up again]

[...He's completely asleep now, and probably won't wake up till she's done.]

[well, she'll notice him after another five or ten minutes, and skate back over to his side of the lake. Sleeping out in the cold - he should know better]

Your Majesty? [and since that probably doesn't get him up] Peony, are you all right?

Wha- [He rubs an eye.] ...Yes, I am. I suppose I might have dozed off a little.

You should go back to the house if you're that tired. Haven't you been sleeping well?

[He probably sleeps late for no reason.] I'm fine.
