[Whenever Nephry gets back to Regal's house, she might notice that the door to one of the rooms has been left open. And if she looks inside, she might spy a certain someone chilling on a bed, sewing up some new tears that her doll is suffering from.]

I am so sorry, Tokunaga. I should really take better care of you...

[It's the voice, more than anything, that makes her stop. She's been out all day and she's tired but Lorelei if she's hearing things now she's going to just throw in the towel.

Normally, courtesy would demand she knock. But the door's already open and the look on her face when she sees it's Anise in there is indescribable]

[Anise looks up, sensing a presence in the doorway, and gasps.]

Oh, Nephry! You're back! I was waiting all day! By the time Guy brought me here this morning, you were already gone, boo...

Anise...

[forget this standing here. The next thing Anise knows she'll be in the tightest hug Nephry's ever given her.]

[Tight hugs what - Anise blinks.]

[And laughs a little bit, hugging right back.]

[This hug is lasting really long. Nephry thought you were dead and you're not and when she gets over this she'll go out and have a serious talk with Guy about notifying her except probably not because the relief is just...

When she finally does let go and sit back, it's to take off her glasses and wipe her eyes. Not that that helps.]

I'm sorry. I thought...I'm so glad you're okay.

I'm glad too! I'm sorry it took so long - I was um, just above one of the tunnels [you probably know the one, Nephry.] when the earthquake happened, so I got stuck down there, and I didn't have my journal...

If Guy didn't find me, I dunno what would've happened... [A sigh.]

I heard that our house was trashed, though! Are you okay? Guy said you'd be okay by now, but... [-and Anise finally registers that Nephry's actually wiping her eyes about now. ... She's never seen her cry before.]

Ah-! P-please don't cry, Nephry...!

[She knows what would've happened. It's why she's still crying, and can't seem to stop just yet.]

No, I...I'm fine now. Dist and Professor Nebilim and... [nope, sorry, that's all she's got. But Anise doesn't seem to like her crying, so she turns away a little to try to calm herself down.]

I-I can't remember if you had been home, or...

[Oh, Nephry. The more you cry, the more you distress Anise. Especially since no one's really cried for her like this, before.]

I'm sorry. I should've said something before I left...

It's not your fault! [red eyes notwithstanding, she's dead serious about that one]

I apologize. I can't seem to get a hold of myself today.

It's okay. It's been really crazy - I'm not even sure what's going on out there anymore... [Anise hesitates a little, before awkwardly reaching over to give Nephry another hug because it seems like she could really use one. Awkwardly because her ankle's still wrapped up, there.]

[She returns the hug, turning so it's not so awkward for that ankle.] Thank you.

Were you hurt badly?

Nothing I can't handle. [She's a soldier, after all! A sprained ankle is nothing. And those cuts and slight bruises can be easily fixed by a First Aid spell from the Professor, later on.]

[still a little teary but she's gotten some control back now]

Do you need anything?

Um, I was thinking about seeing if there was anything in the kitchen, but I'm not sure if we can get anything...?

You'll need to eat something. I'll see what I can find.

[But first you get one more hug, this time not so desperate] Thank Lorelei you're all right.

[Anise just grins.] It'll take a lot more than that to bring me down~! ♪

[This is probably the first time Nephry's smiled since the house fell down. Her eyes start tearing up again, too, so she decides that's the cue to go down to the kitchen and make what she can for Anise. It isn't a whole lot, when she returns, but it should be enough to make her feel better.]

[Anise is too hungry to be picky, so whatever it is that Nephry manages to bring her will make her happy regardless.]
