[the weather has been mild for a few days now, giving the ground a chance to dry up. This morning, Nephry thought this seemed like the perfect day to spend outdoors - it's not too warm yet in this village, and she has no real obligations here - and she even packed a picnic lunch to that effect. However, anyone who sees her headed off to enjoy that lunch will probably catch her in the act of a stumble or two, or even a shaky move to the nearest bench or equivalent place to just sit down.]

I'm all right. [it's a tired smile, but as real as she can make it, and she'll drink some of that water she brought for good measure]

We can always have a picnic on another day if you are not feeling well. Your health is more important than any lunch.

[she's quiet for several minutes. Whatever it was seems to have passed for the moment, though]

It's nothing. [unless it comes back. She's not trying to be dishonest]

Regal. [she has one of those too.] Do you not trust me to be honest with you if I thought it was serious?

I trust you, but I also know that you do not wish to make anyone else worry about you.

[she looks like she wants to say more, at first...and then like she knows she shouldn't try to say anything at all. What she does manage sounds a lot different]

[Regal is instantly in Papa Bear mode upon hearing that.]

Do you want me to go fetch someone?

[she shakes her head, not wanting to risk speaking just now]

[Okay, kneeling beside her now.]

Do you need me to carry you back?

I just...need a minute.

[And he'll just stay there, watching her like a hawk to be sure she's all right.]

[she just sits quietly for a while. Eventually it seems to go away enough that she can speak again]

I think I should go back to the house.

Then let me help you.

[And he holds out a hand to help her up if she wants it.]

[oh, she definitely wants it. Without help she'd just be sitting (or lying) here for the rest of the day. So she takes his hand, holding on tighter than she intends to]

[That's fine; it's no trouble at all for Regal to pull her gently to her feet, though he's frowning slightly with concern.]

[she's sick, but it's not serious. Probably just the flu]
