[at first the journal picks up just breathing, and silence. And then, a loud, desperate scream, and several soft thuds of disorientation. It's quiet again for a while, then she decides to write something, not trusting her voice to stay steady]

I believe I feel well enough to leave the clinic.

[[ooc: And she actually means it. She doesn't yet have the stubborn streak so common among playable characters the people she knows. And please do notice the scream~]]

I'm afraid that, as a professional healer, I'll have to disagree with that.

Because you aren't well enough, of course.

I see no problem with that, provided I come to visit you, as opposed to the other way around.

Then, I will come visit you right now. I happen to have some time left over.

[About ten minutes later, Gelda arrives at Nephry's room in the clinic. She closes the door behind her to give them some privacy, before turning to the girl with a gentle smile.]

Good afternoon, Nephry.

[She takes a seat in the chair next to the bed, watching Nephry intently.]

What's on your mind?

[That's okay. Gelda needs no eyecontact to stare into your soul.]

I believe it would be better if you had medical assistance nearby, just in case.

Then, how about we come to some sort of compromise?

[She leans back in her chair.]

Personally, I'd like you to stay in the clinic for at least three more days.

Oh? Any idea what's causing this insomnia?

[Action]

[identity profile] fonon-professor.livejournal.com 2009-04-18 04:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Hardly. Nightmares aren't limited to age. A much more decisive factor is the experiences you have. One might say it's your subconsciousness' way of coping with stress.

And you believe the comfort of your own home will reduce the nightmares?

Then, I suppose there's nothing I can say to change your mind.
