Fourth Wall Catch-All
This is a catchall post for all of my characters in the 4th wall, for both days; please let me know who a tag is for in the subject!

Sheena has work to do, and spends most of her two days in the tea shop, making and serving tea and trying to handle crowd control. This all feels so familiar it makes her shiver, but she doesn't get a sinister sense from it all, wings or no wings. Of course, it's still a bad idea to take her by surprise, particularly from behind.

Nephry, once she figures out the influx of newcomers is strange and confusing at best, leaves off trying to do anything with them through the Welcome Center and spends her time in the cafe instead. The last time there was an abundance of new people like this, it was really a cultist invasion. She's not willing to be caught unawares again - whether it was her fault last time or not. When not at the cafe, she'll be at house 1.

Mia isn't due in for work but checks in on both clinics anyway, thinking that the population burst might end in some...conflicts. Other than that, she stays in house 16 out of the way when she can. It's crowded enough without one more person milling about looking uncertain.

Luke is no dummy. Once he sees a few people reunited with others from their homes, he goes everywhere he can, just...hoping. His favorite places in which to hope are the bakery, the library, and around the fountain until he gets to cold he's back in the bakery again. He looks around expectantly almost the entire time.

Raven has the smithy to use as a sanctuary, and she's never been more thankful that she can recall. It's no place for people to just gather; when they try, she's well within her rights to tell them to either shop or leave. That's how she likes it. On her lunch break and any other time she'll be in the restaurant, despite hating the crowd.

Rue almost wants to get enough people together that she could dance for them. Dance with Mytho for them, maybe. She has everything she needs here, and lacks most of the things she doesn't want, so apart from trying to keep Mytho from getting lost, she doesn't really care about all the new people milling around. She keeps an eye out for ravens, of course.

I apologize. [He hesitates a moment before looking up.] But I don't intend to lie to you. The truth of the matter is... I'm Rief. Mia is...
That's the name of my mother.
no subject
Are you saying...what I think you're saying?
no subject
You look like her and you sound like her. Just... younger. You have her name. If it's true that you're one of the Warriors of Vale... than yes, I'm afraid so.
I apologize if this is... upsetting for you to hear.
no subject
You said you have a mentor that you travel with. Who is it?
no subject
You know him quite well already. He is none other than Kraden.
no subject
[Even if, and this would be a staggering if in her mind but one never does know, she had a child shortly after they completed their quest for alchemy, that would give Kraden another decade and a half of age. He'd be in no shape to do much traveling then, would he?]

[And he finds himself a nearby seat, fidgeting right into it.]
Where were we? Ah yes, the Golden Sun...
no subject
It's all right, we don't have to talk about that. Clearly it is in my future and I will get there soon enough on my own.
no subject
Regardless, it's because of that Golden Sun that Kraden is still as spry as ever in my time. Learning under him has simply been an honor for both myself and Nowell.

Well... She's my big sister, you see. [He tries to go on dryly, but it comes out meek.] I'm sure you'll get to know her very well.
no subject
And to think, he never told me... [Granted, he might not know them at all. Mia looks at Rief again.] Did you know someone named Amiti?
no subject
Why yes, he traveled with us. But how could you possibly know of him?
no subject
[He reminded her of someone, at times, when the light caught him the right way and especially once when they were in battle together.]
However, he failed to mention you, though he must have known.
no subject
[He frowns.]
Perhaps he is more acquainted than me with something called 'tact'.
no subject
[She realizes this implies something about Rief, too.]
Well, while you're here, if you'd like to stay here I'm sure you can.

[Both of her eyebrows go up then, and she smiles.]
If you haven't made me uncomfortable by now, you're not likely to do it any time soon. I should be proud to raise someone like you, and I hope, in your time, that I am.
no subject
Thank you. Rest assured, you... you truly are a good mother. Even now.
no subject
Thank you. I hope you don't mind a few more questions, but I want to know what Kraden is teaching you.

He considers for a moment before deciding it's safe to answer. And he does appreciate the chance to relate his studies to his mother anew.]
It's largely been a general study of Alchemy and the ancient cultures that Kraden tends to come across in his travels. [He smiles proudly as he recalls one of his last memories from home.]
You know... he told me recently that I could start learning from the world itself, rather than him.
[He had hoping to relate that to his mom after he had first heard it; this would have to do.]

I may have learned a few already. Ever since I was first forced to split up from Kraden and Nowell... not all of the lessons were particularly pleasant. [It's an understatement, and it shows.]
