Fourth Wall Catch-All

This is a catchall post for all of my characters in the 4th wall, for both days; please let me know who a tag is for in the subject!

Sheena has work to do, and spends most of her two days in the tea shop, making and serving tea and trying to handle crowd control. This all feels so familiar it makes her shiver, but she doesn't get a sinister sense from it all, wings or no wings. Of course, it's still a bad idea to take her by surprise, particularly from behind.

Nephry, once she figures out the influx of newcomers is strange and confusing at best, leaves off trying to do anything with them through the Welcome Center and spends her time in the cafe instead. The last time there was an abundance of new people like this, it was really a cultist invasion. She's not willing to be caught unawares again - whether it was her fault last time or not. When not at the cafe, she'll be at house 1.

Mia isn't due in for work but checks in on both clinics anyway, thinking that the population burst might end in some...conflicts. Other than that, she stays in house 16 out of the way when she can. It's crowded enough without one more person milling about looking uncertain.

Luke is no dummy. Once he sees a few people reunited with others from their homes, he goes everywhere he can, just...hoping. His favorite places in which to hope are the bakery, the library, and around the fountain until he gets to cold he's back in the bakery again. He looks around expectantly almost the entire time.

Raven has the smithy to use as a sanctuary, and she's never been more thankful that she can recall. It's no place for people to just gather; when they try, she's well within her rights to tell them to either shop or leave. That's how she likes it. On her lunch break and any other time she'll be in the restaurant, despite hating the crowd.

Rue almost wants to get enough people together that she could dance for them. Dance with Mytho for them, maybe. She has everything she needs here, and lacks most of the things she doesn't want, so apart from trying to keep Mytho from getting lost, she doesn't really care about all the new people milling around. She keeps an eye out for ravens, of course.

[It just so happens that shortly after Nephry returns home, there'll be a soft knock on the door, quickly followed by someone opening it up and peeking inside.]

Hello? Is anyone home?

[One frazzled looking dad is running up to see Luke at the fountain.]

Luke! There you are. Where is your luggage? We have to find our mother so we can catch our ship!

[Presea's memories were still fuzzy at best. She didn't know how long she'd been gone or how much had changed around Luceti...or even if anyone she knew back then was still here, but as her memories slowly resurfaced, Presea was on the move. It was slow-going with the flock of people about, but eventually the little lumberjack makes it to her destination.

Climbing the stairs carefully, she looks into the tea shop with care, curious to see if a familiar face may make an appearance...]

[When Nephry comes home, the sight of Jade's atrocious sign torn down and half buried with snow should be a red-flag in and of itself. Upon coming inside, the noise within the house should be yet another red-flag that the house has been invaded by a certain ~~cockroach~~ someone that hasn't been around in...quite a while.]

Will you get this sniveling thing away from me?! What is its fascination with my person?! Peony, your disgusting pets are surely going to be filling my stomch soon if you don't do something about them! Why are such little vermin let inside...rappigs are meant to be penned outside! Let them wallow in their filth like the swine they are!

[Says a noisy fonon technician/scientist as he busily tries to shoo a drippy-nosed rappig away from his leg.]

[Fuuko carefully enters the tea shop and peers around. She hasn't fully realised where she is just yet, the lack of wings and a journal would certainly have tipped her off, but without them she's simply wandering around places which for some reason strike her as familiar.]

It feels as though Fuuko has been here before, but maybe Fuuko has not. This is all very horrible and strange...

[While he's busy looking around the fountain, Luke is going to feel someone clap their hands down on his shoulders.]

Pop quiz! Guess who just showed up, spotted the puzzle loving dude running around and came to say hiya. No peeking, you're gonna lose points if you turn around!

[It's a real pain trying to get around when everywhere is as crowded as it is, so much so that he's becoming very tempted to just shove his way past people so he can get where he's wanting to go faster...

Sadly, someone near him appears to have had a similar idea and practically shoves Caius out of the way, causing him to literally stumble into Mia as she travels between clinics.]

Hey, watch it! [Uh, wait.] Sorry, I didn't mean to walk into you, some idiot pushed me...

[ The cafe seems like a nice quiet place to get a warm drink. Sure there are people around but not as many as the ones that are swarming around.

Which means that it's easier to pick up on familiar faces. ]

[There is an Anise poking around House 1. Yes, she walked right in like she lived here. Technically, she did at one point! She doesn't see the problem here.]

Hey - did someone else get my room?

[Duck and Sheena may have been living together, but she feels as though she hadn't really gotten to know her that much. She's just been so busy. So Duck decides that she's going to go to see if she help her out a little.]

Sheena, do you need help?

[No one had been home when Rief suddenly found himself within House 16. He wandered around cautiously for a moment, making careful analysis of his surroundings.

But then he heard the door creak open. Quickly, he scurried towards a cupboard he noticed which was just big enough to fit him. Rief took cover and shut the cupboard door quickly; but perhaps a bit too quickly, as the cupboard door closing made an audible noise. He mentally reprimanded himself; was his hiding place compromised?]

[And so a familiar busty man soon bursts into the bakery, flashing his police badge.]

Alright! This is Inspector Grosky of the Yard. Whoever's behind this nonsense can come out right now, because this ends here!

[What about cats? Here comes one, who looks fairly pleased to see her. Rue is one of his most advanced students, after all. He would never even dare to propose to her.]

Miss Rue. So it's true that you're here as well.

[Well he was probably not who you wanted to see Little Luke, but there he was, hanging around the plaza and looking rather puzzled by his predicament. He doesn't have his hat, but he still wore that distinct outfit that he wore to disguise himself as Big Luke.

He was going to notice Little Luke first and was quietly watching him from a distance. He had those strange wings too that some of the people here had...what should he do? Little Luke may be a familiar face, but they didn't exactly leave on friendly terms.]

Huh...So you have those wings too. I suppose the color does suit you. [But it was still a familiar face and...well he really did feel guilty for the trouble he caused]

[No wings, no journal. How very strange. There seems to have been a population boom since last he remembered as well... Ah, but there's a familiar face. Layton smiles.]

Luke! My, but how you've grown.

[Pinwheel falling through a wall and landing flat as a pancake somewhere in the ninja's vicinity. Oops.]
