[[This is an IC-uncut discussion of the OOC stuff outlined here.]]
[The morning of the 23rd, with the weather finally abating into something more manageable, Nephry opens her journal to address those who remain after the draft and the village-wide scavenger hunt for Bil have taken place.]
Now that the weather is looking steadily more friendly, it's time we did a bit of damage control - as much as we can, as soon as we can, because a lot of the worst has already been done. We need to clear the paths, make sure our homes and other buildings are stable and check for flooding, and most importantly find places and help for anyone who is trapped, injured, or without access to something essential.
To that end I've divided the map of Luceti into three areas. [She takes a moment to stick the page in, close the book, and open it again - that ought to do for showing the map to everyone.] The circled buildings are the clinic in the plaza, the battledome, and the barracks; all of these can serve as medical facilities for anyone who needs them at this time, so long as we have the manpower to staff them.
I would never presume to order anyone here to help get this place back in order. It's just a request. Please consider volunteering your assistance, in any way. You are welcome to give me your preference for which section of the village you'd like to be assigned to start.
If you do agree to help, please say so - and if at all possible, report back if you find a serious obstacle or some unaddressed flooding. It's better to keep a record of things like that.
If there is anyone in need of assistance who can hear this, answer. We'll get to you as soon as we can. It will help if you can tell us where in the village you are.
[[ooc: Expect a log for clearing away trees, dealing with flooding and damages, rescuing our incapacitated people, and all the other fun CR things to follow!]]

We have stockpiles of medical supplies, food, water, blankets, and lanterns at both clinics. So it should help people start to get back on their feet. Some of the houses are completely wreaked. In addition to the Barracks, Dome, and Plaza Clinic being medical centers, perhaps we should use whatever Community Housing building weathered the storm best as a temporary safe haven for those displaced. Get them out of the elements.
...
In addition to search and rescue parties, we should also compile a list of the dead, so we can be on the lookout for them when they return to us a week ago. ... I'm aware of a couple already, and the environment where the draft is taking place threatens to climb the list quite a bit higher.
