While I can't speak for other worlds, in Auldrant we celebrate the "new year" in the middle of winter, shortly after the longest night. It's a bit different from the way things work here...but regardless, I am curious as to how many other worlds share a similar tradition.

Once, she thinks about visiting Professor Nebilim, but she can't be sure of how late the woman stays at the school after class, and she wouldn't want to interrupt.

In short, she's a little bit of everywhere, ending that evening at Good Spirits. For a change of pace. And a drink, of course. Facades can be such a strain on the system.]

Yes, I recall Gelda explaining that to me. It must have been quite a change to adjust to the different calendar here. I can only imagine how strange it must be to suddenly be faced with a year that is half the length of what you are used to.

I'll admit I noticed the climate more than the time, for a while. But yes...it does feel as though these years have passed very quickly.

I suppose whether that is a good thing or a bad thing depends on how you feel about it.

Thank you. That is my hope, anyway. It's... the aftermath that is a concern, now. Can you imagine, reuniting two civilizations that had been separated for so long... and with one side having benefitted from years of prosperity while the other was fading fast?
